DAY 2
LIMA

Alter a general presentation on Peru’s History and also the photo possibilities; we start our visit to Lima.
We may split the group in two; according to the interest of the group members. We will have two local photographers that will lead two itineraries: One will focus on art visits (architecture and painting) and other group will focus on people and urban life.

Journey to lachay (www. For wildlife and nature observation and photography.
Lachay is an environment formed in the middle of the desert, by the humidity of the clouds dragged by winds from the Ocean, against the Andean slopes. This causes the condensation of the fog into water drops.

We’ll meet a group of locals that will prepare “Pachamanca” a kind of earth oven used to cook the Peruvian delicacies.

DAY 4
LIMA - PARACAS

Breakfast
Early drive following the coastal highway towards the village of Pisco. (Famous Peruvian beverage is called upon Pisco’s vineyards)

We’ll take a boat to sail to the Ballestas Islands get a look at the Candelabro and watch the wildlife (Condors, penguins, seals…)
Then visit of the wildlife reserve and the Museum.

Drive to Ica visit the Oasis of Huacachina lodge Night at a local lodge in Ica.

DAY 5
ICA-NAZCA

Breakfast
Early wake up and opportunity for sand-boarding by the dunes.
Later, drive to Nazca, visit of gold mills and aqueducts.

DAY 6
NAZCA-LIMA

Breakfast
Flight over the lines if there was not enough time the previous day.
Brief visit to Cemetery.
Drive back to Lima.

DAY 7
LIMA-CUSCO

Transfer to airport
Flight to Cusco (airfare included)
Meet & transfer to chosen accommodation.
After acclimatizing to high altitude we will gather at Martin Chambi’s workshop. Have a lecture with his grand son (also involved in photography, and learn about the beginnings of the photography at the beginning of the 20th century. (www.martinchambi.com)

DAY 8

Brief walk through the city of Cusco to get the atmosphere of this magical city.
Special visit into some of its architectural highlights.

Full day walk to the archaeological park called Saqsayhuaman

DAY 10

Visit f the Chinchero High plateau
Overlooking the Sacred Valley of the Inkas
Opportunity to photograph.
We may choose to start our drive before sunrise to take advantage of mountain views. We’ll spend the day visiting and walking sites like Moray and salt mines
Arrive to our Hotel accommodation in Urubamba

DAY 11

We will devote this day to visits of the Markets within the Sacred Valley
In order to have more leisure time, we may grab a box lunch and spend more time with locals

DAY 12

Early wake up and transfer to the station to get a train to Machupicchu
Full day visiting Machupicchu. Walks towards the Inka Bridge, and the Inka’s trail up to the gate of the Sun. You will decide timing locally depending on the weather conditions.

DAY 13

Another early wake up and we’ll take first bus to Machupicchu. We’ll spend the day photographing.

Night in The Valley

DAY 14

Hike towards the Lake of Yanacocha located in the Sacred Valley. Landscapes of Andean Lagoons, Slopes, and snow capped mountains.

DAY 15

Today we’ll have one of the Highlights of the trip. We’ll drive towards one of the remotest villages of the Andes to see an old Inka bridge of Qeshuachaca. It is made of ropes and renovated year after year.

Early wake up and drive towards the eastern slopes of the Andes, towards the jungle. Get to a lodge. These three days will be devoted to Nature and wildlife observation.
