Course description:
Peru had one of the richest historical processes in the whole world, since it came from two sources: The indigenous that was able to achieve one of the world’s greatest Empires of mankind, and the Spanish that at its time was also on the top of cultural development in Europe.
The blend of both, gave this country, the richest cultural heritage
Our students will gain an understanding of the Peruvian historical process in the context of American and world history.
Academic objectives:
By the end of this course the students will have a critical thinking on how the historical processes of different countries throughout the world would determine its current economical and social development.
They will have a general idea of the historical process in Latin America as a whole and understand its importance.
They will briefly learn how after colonial processes the countries in America struggled for their liberty in the early 19th century, and compare with the North American History.
Achievements:

The students will learn the first human settlements in America and in Peru and its characteristics.

The students will be able to recognize the process of cultural evolution: from the pre-Inkas, and their cultural elements to the Inkas:
